Level: Apprentice — roughly Grade 7 / ages 12–13 Duration: 25–30 minutes Format: Write real Python in the browser (runs instantly, nothing to install) Concept: The + - * / operators on numbers, and reading numbers with int(input())

Learning Objective

Kids calculate with Python's math operators and understand that text from input must be converted to a number with int() before math (connecting to math class).

Do It Together (Parent-Child Co-participation)

Try other operators: * (multiply), / (divide), % (remainder) and predict the result before running — discuss why 10 / 3 gives a decimal but 10 // 3 gives a whole number.
